The sponsoring association

The Gottfried Böhm Scholarship is offered by the Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Technischen Hochschule Köln e. V. (Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Cologne University of Technology) in cooperation with the Cologne University of Technology and the City of Cologne. Mayor Henriette Reker is the patronesse of the scholarship.

The Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Technischen Hochschule Köln e. V. (Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Cologne University of Technology) was founded in 1978 and is based in Cologne. Since then, the purpose of the association has been to promote science and research and to raise funds for its implementation. By awarding scholarships, such as the Gottfried Böhm Scholarship the association aims to strengthen the training of capable young academics as well as the deepening of the relationship between practice and the university.
